Cable window-opening remote controls resemble automotive window openers, and are one of traditional Ultraflex products.

The controls above were to be redesigned to use plastics instead of a zinc alloy; due to firm policy choices, the project was postponed and then abandoned.

Notice that the handle, unlike automotive ones, is designed to be operated standing in front of the control, not aside.

Zinc	Since the bronze age, zinc alloys are widely used in mechanics, and they can be easily molded in complex shapes. In some applications they can be substituted by plastics, which can simplify lubrication and reduce weight and costs.
